Francois, Leederville
Francois is a cute tea and coffee shop hidden away from the main Leederville strip in the car park off Newcastle Street.
The array of cakes and pastries is mouthwatering, and Francois also sell savouries and a variety of teas, coffee and drinks. Apologies for the reflection on the photos of the cabinet.
I chose the raspberry blast:
I would have preferred raspberries on top, however the strawberry was quite nice and the raspberry mousse and gel filling was lovely. The base was a biscuit which was quite hard to cut through, so I scraped the cake off the biscuit and ate the biscuit later.
My partner chose the Carameline:
He thought it was wonderful, lots of nice gooey caramel and chocolate which reminded him of eating a Double Decker chocolate bar.
Tea was served in pots with strainers – I chose a green fruit tea.
Francois is definitely worth a try to get your posh cake fix. I think there are better patisseries, but nonetheless it was a pleasant distraction to have afternoon tea there.
